Time is the one thing we can't get back. Capturing memories of the most important moments in our lives is what I live for, it's what I do every day.

I love many things. But my passion is photography. 

People often ask why I choose to photograph weddings instead of something "easier" or less "stressful". The answer is simple, I love capturing memories. That dress you looked so amazing in? You aren't going to put it on display, but you'll always remember how you felt when you see the photo of yourself in it. The loved one you were laughing with, even though you don't see them every day, you remember sharing one of the most special days in your life with them because of the candid photo sitting on your shelf. Moments like those are the reason I choose to capture weddings.

I remember sitting at the dinner table with my grandmother and listening to her tell the story of her wedding day. We were looking through her wedding album and she remembered so much about each photo. The memories it brought back for her of that day are why I chose weddings.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What all is required to get booked with you?

   Booking me for a wedding requires two things. A signed contract and a deposit. Once we decide on which package is best for you, I will send over a contract electronically for you to sign. After that is complete, 50% of your total is due as a deposit. Once that is paid you are officially on the books!

2. Do you do any photos other than weddings?

   I sure do! I take a handful of family and senior sessions each year. Fill out the form on my Contact page to learn more.

3. Do you shoot weddings outside of Central Iowa?

   Absolutely. I primarily shoot in Ames and Des Moines, but have also had clients with weddings in most of the surrounding states!

4. Do you offer prints?

   At this time I do not take direct orders for prints. However there are local shops I work with and can point you in the right direction for high quality printing.

5. Do you work with second shooters?

   There are times when a second shooter is needed. Whether on request from the couple or one that is brought in to help me for specific reasons. In either of those cases, I only work with trusted second shooters. They are expected to have the same high quality gear I do and have all been proven excellent photographers.

6. Can we meet before deciding to book with you?

   Absolutely. I do my best to meet all couples at least once before the wedding day. Please reach out to me via the contact form and we can setup a time for a coffee or a drink and chat about your day in detail! If you live too far away to make this realistic we can always do an old fashioned phone call!
